Arnos Padiri Academy, Velur was started in the year 1993 at Kozhikode to promote learning and research in language, literature, culture, history and heritage. It is established by the Jesuits of the Kerala Province in fond memory of Arnos Padiri (Fr. Joannes Ernestus Hanxleden S.J), the great German Jesuit missionary and literary figure. In 1995 it was shifted to Velur (Thrissur), a place memorialized by the heritage centers of Arnos Padiri.

Drawing inspiration from the heritage of Arnos Padiri, we aim to create a space for creative reading, writing, research and publication; Strive for the creation of a wholistic, sustainable, earth-centred vision of life, linking all sections of people; Promote eco-friendly, humanistic, aesthetic, spiritual and vision-oriented collaboration and networking.
A collection of books mainly related to language, literature, culture and history. It is open to the public for reference between 10 a.m and 5 p.m. on all days except Sundays and public holidays.
English and Malayalam books on Arnos Padiri or written by Arnos Padiri. Some of these are available for purchase.
Providing a platform to learn music and musical instruments
It is under development.
Informal research assistance provided to research students of Folklore, Malayalam Literature and History.
Leadership Training, Value education, social awareness etc.
